Loved the trees stamp used in class today, but, alas, I do not own it, so i improvised with a sort-of-blackened-sort-of-reversed-stamp... lol...

Day 6
Loved the Stained Glass Technique today, and sooo easy to do... stamp, color with Tim Holtz Distress Markers, spritz with water to make colors blend. giving it a watercolor effect, then I added Glossy Accents to make it look like glass...

Day 2 - Background Stamps
Stamped a Christmasy background stamp with Distress Seasonal Inks - Winter, cut apart the image, arranged on silver card stock and adhered to white card. Stamped and embossed a few snowflakes on velum, cut out and adhered to card. Needed some more snowflakes, embossed onto the card after masking off areas. Tied with Silver Bakers Twine and attached snowflake brad to secure on card.
Have lots more cut-up background to use on more cards.... each one will be different too cuz of the way I cut the paper... yay, but that was the whole idea of Day two's lesson...

Day 1 - Masking, Cheat Sheets, Mass-Producing Cards
Played around with masking and cheat sheet... I wanted to use my Dylusion Holly Stamp and Dylusion Inks on a Christmas Card. So I masked off the sentiment area, stamped the holly onto the card. I used a water pen filled with Fresh Line Dylusion Ink to color the leaves, and a Copic Red for the berries. I then used Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink to color the background, as I wanted a vintage look.

Day 4... Thought I would try the shadow/blending technique again. I used regular smooth white card stock and thought the results were a better blend. I could actually see the ink blending and moving around on the paper.

Holiday Card Workshop - Day 4
Day 4 was a very informative day, learning the techniques of blending and shadowing. I just loved how Sandy Allnock shadowed around a Santy face and made his beard POP, so I thought I would try that.... I am NOT good at blending as she did, I just could not get the hang of it, but I know it takes practice. But I do like the results of this attempt of many I did, although it is not the correct way that she showed...

Day 3: Faux Fresco
This technique is absolutely fabulous!!! I love the subtle colors and the look the gesso imparts. Julie Ebersole created a wonderful card on Day 3 of the Online Card Classes - Holiday Card Workshop that I just had to try... It just speaks vintage!!
I used Bazzill card stock for the card. Using the Sizzix ThankFul embossing envelop, I embossed a off-white paper. Following Julie's technique, I used three Copic markers to highlight the embossed words. I first applied Distress Stains White Picket Fence over the embossing, as Julie did, but I was not satisfied with the results... the Copic colors were too prevalent, so I used white gesso to cover the whole embossing. Still not satisfied, I took the White Picket Fence Distress Stain and dabbled it on the spots that were too full of color. Finally I achieved the results I wanted. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink to edge the embossing for a more vintage look. I then made a flower from Core-dinations stock using Tim Holtz's Pinecone die, adding its die cut branch and a leaf. I wrapped the face of the card with sage colored Twine, embossed the sentiment in white, then mounted it with foam squares.

CC101 September Challenge
"Rock Candy Distress Stickles w/ Embossed Background"
I created the background by making sprays using the Seasonal Distress Fall Pallet, adding Perfect Pearls Copper to each bottle. I embossed the tag with Tim's Branch Tree Textured Fades Embossing Folder, highlighting it using Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad, then covered the tree with Distress Rock Candy Stickles. Wrapping the tag with a natural and copper twine, I added a flower made from Tim's Pinecone Die, and a couple of Prima flowers. Cutting a flower apart, I used three petals for leaves, then sprayed all with the three colors in the Fall Distress Pallet. The sentiment was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with copper embossing powder...

Stretch Your Stamps OnLine Card Class, Day 11
Day 11
Reverse Stamps
I haven't given much thought to Reverse Stamps as I have always viewed them as dark, but after today's class... watch out!!! I only have a few and this is the only big one I own. While it is not as detailed as the one demo'd in class, it did give me a chance to play around...
I used regular Crayola Pencils to color this, blending several colors
I used Copic Markers on this, blending several colors and also using the Blending Pen. I stamped this on textured card stock which gave a different backgound look
I used the Crayola Pencils again and decided to mix it up. I think the sunflowers look more like Gerbera Daisies now...
I mounted each panel on CoreOrdinations 4x6 Paper that I embossed with various folders. Wanting to keep the dark tone going, I then applied each to black card stock. Since I choose black, I put a tag inside each card for a hand written note.
Sorry about this blurry pic, but you get the idea...

Day 10
Border Stamps:
Dylusions sprays meet CTMH Sentiments!!!
I sprayed white card stock with Dylusions Spray Inks, used a stencil which I sprayed with water to remove some of the ink leaving a subtle pattern in the background. Stamped 4 Dyan Reaveley Border Stamps on the page. I used 4 sentiment stamps from CTMH to create the message. Distress Markers for coloring and White gel pen for all the highlighting...
